The educational unit/credit concept is connected to every aspect of the Credit System (CS). We usually discuss these aspects of CS, leaving students out. However, CS is a student-centered educational system. When the students are at the center, naturally, we should see a direct link between CS and students, and answer the question: how can students benefit from CS? In this work, we analyze student-relayed aspects of CS in the case of a Canadian university student. We focus on credit definition, calculation, and credit-based assessment. Credit precision is also analyzed in comparison with another SI unit

The time-based credit hour concept or Carnegie Unit has been developed and successfully used in the United States for more than 100 years since its introduction as the base of CS. Currently
CS is being accepted in almost all countries around the globe. It is encouraging that our country is moving step by step toward introducing CS in higher education
thus taking part in the world community that uses CS in education.
