In this paper, we investigate direct and linear inverse problems of identifying time-dependent term in a time-fractional diffusion-wave equation by using the measured data at an inner point in time interval. We first prove the existence, uniqueness and regularity of the solution for the corresponding direct problem by using the spectral method.
