GRAMMATICAL-SEMANTIC PROBLEMS IN TRANSLATION BETWEEN UZBEK AND ENGLISH (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE NOVEL “THE OLDMAN AND THE SEA” BY E. HEMINGWAY)

N.A.Isakova, M.A.Vohidova

This article explores the core grammatical-semantic challenges that arise in the translation process between Uzbek and English. Given their typological divergence -Uzbek being an agglutinative Turkic language and English an analytic Germanic language-the translation of grammatical structures and their associated meanings presents complex issues. Drawing on linguistic theory and comparative analysis, this paper identifies key areas of difficulty and suggests strategies for achieving functional equivalence.
