Elements content of soil and drinking water as well as human hair samples from several regions of Uzbekistan have been analyzed using neutron activation analysis method. The analysis results have showed that in some areas the concentration of Zn, Co, Cu and some other elements in soil and drinking water samples is higher than the average values for the region, which is due to the industrial plants located in these areas. Increased content of some elements has been found in human hair samples because of environmental pollution and working conditions. Environmental situation in Tashkent city, Tashkent region and Surkhandarya region has been assessed and areas with increased content of some elements have been identified. Cartogram maps of the regions showing elements content distribution have been created and risk groups of the population for certain diseases have been identified.
